Requirements for Access Keys

Some browsers do not support Access Keys. If you are interested in utilizing Access Keys, but the browser you are using does not support them, you may want to install a standards compliant browser, such as Firefox.

How to use Access Keys

Hold down the "Alt" key on your keyboard, and then press the key associated with the page you want to go to (see Access Key Legend on this page)

Purpose of Access Keys

Access Keys allow a site user to use their keyboard to jump to specific pages quick and easy. Access keys are especially benefitial to site users that are unable to use a mouse, or are utilizing assistive technology, such as screen readers. Rather than tabbing to a link, a user can easily type "Alt", plus the letter for the desired link. When the user types the Access Key, they will be taken to the links page, just as if they had selected and clicked the link with a mouse.
